During your discussion on the emerging midfield without Lallana and possible subs, you never once mentioned Emre Can. As a Liverpool and German NT supporter I would love to see Can get some minutes in the club side, he has been a sensible and deliberate midfielder for his country when given the opportunity. Why is his name absent when discussing the Liverpool plan moving forward?

I think that the only reason we didn’t go full in on Can is due to his injuries and barely coming back from that. Most of my arguments have been to leave the midfield as is until need be and with Lallana just being injured in our last game before the break my thought would be to give players, like Sturridge, who have had some playing time already, some more starts. United home or away is always going to be a big game for any player, fresh off injury or not but now with Lallana and Wijnaldum most likely to miss Can is almost a guarantee in my opinion. I have high hopes for Can. He’s obviously proven he can play at the demanding levels of the Premier League and came in and fulfilled his duty when called upon for Germany during the Euros. Not to mention his achievements at the under 21 level. We have a brilliant player on our hands no doubt, just think we have to be patient. He’ll get his chance and when he does he’ll take it with both hands. He’s sure to be a common topic on future podcasts.

Thanks for listening and please keep sending your feedback!
